This is in such nice condition, it was worth spending the time to service it.
So… freshly serviced, including a new capstan belt, tape heads and tape-path cleaned, azimuth adjusted and now this lovely old machine performs very well indeed. This original 1970s vintage ‘Made in Japan’ machine is now in full working order and really nice physical condition. You can see there are quite a lot of marks on the top case (see last picture), but the front fascia is virtually un-marked.
