With detachable head-shell, knife-edge bearings and gleaming like a new pin, this classic 9 inch tonearm is in full working order - a real credit to its original, very fussy owner.
The FD200 Fluid Damper is the most significant upgrade you can make to an SME tonearm. The last two pictures explain the benefits of using the fluid damper.
For obvious reasons the fluid has been removed from the trough prior to any shipping. However, this comes with a syringe containing plenty of the correct viscosity fluid for you to top-up after your new tonearm has been fitted.
The bearings and geometry are all perfect, the dashpot (arm lowering mechanism) operates smooth and slow and full signal continuity from head-shell tags to RCA plugs.
This comes with original SME tonearm user manual, original SME FD200 user manual, a syringe of damping fluid, SME signal cable, 4 x bed-plate fixing screws, SME head-shell, SME finger-lift, a set of cartridge mounting nuts & bolts, alignment protractor and mounting template. If you’re feeling cheeky this also comes with its original guarantee card.
