This has been up-graded and serviced, with ALPS volume pot fitted and an on-off switch fitted on the rear panel. It also appears to have had the various inputs re-assigned and matched for use with a CD player. I don’t usually like getting involved with Quad amps which have been modified in any way, but this has been done really well and works really well.
So - here is an excellent example of the classic Quad 33 stereo pre-amp. Tested for around 2 hours with its matching power amp, in excellent physical condition (see close-up pictures), tested and full and working order.
Currently operating on 200 to 250 volts, conversion to 127 volts just requires moving the position of one wire on the power supply board (see last picture).
This comes with correct (3-Core) mains cable and your choice of either 4-Pin DIN to 4-Pin DIN or 4-Pin DIN to 2 x RCA (Phono) plugs. The user manual is a print-out copy which will be emailed to the new owner on request.
