From the late 1980s, when pioneer Hi-Fi separates really were ‘Made in Japan’, here is a very nice vintage, quartz-controlled direct-drive turntable, ready to plug & play when connected to your amplifier’s MM phono input.
With semi-automatic operation, this deck also uses a T4P (P-mount) plug-in cartridge, making cartridge replacement and setup simple and straightforward. The stylus fitted is the original Audio Technica, which is in perfect shape.

Because the PL-880 uses a P-mount tonearm, you don't need to manually align or balance the cartridge. You can effortlessly swap out the stylus or the entire cartridge. For replacement needles, elliptical styli (rather than conical) are generally recommended for better high-frequency tracking and less record wear.
