With built-in high spec phono stage (switchable MM or MC), this ‘Made in Japan’ giant-killer is in beautiful condition and full & perfect working order.


Rated at 50 watts RMS per channel (into 8 ohms), the original A-400 was named ‘Product of the Year’ by What Hi-Fi in 1990 - the first time this prestigious award had ever been given to a Japanese company. The only significant difference between the original and the X is the X has better frequency response and lower total harmonic distortion. Also, the A-400X has an a IEC socket for the mains cable, where the original A-400 was hard-wired.
