These 1970’s British classics are in very nice physical condition (see close-up pictures) and full working order. They even come with a pair of spare fuses.
Just in case you don’t already know, these contain the same drive units as all LS3/5a 15 ohm enclosures (KEF B110A bass/mid driver and KEF T27 treble driver). Therefore, in terms of sound reproduction, they are quite similar to an LS3/5a but with slightly better bass response. The crossover is not as sophisticated as that of an LS3/5a but it does offer fuse protection. The LS3/5a offers variable treble responses by way of 5 links in order to increase or decrease treble by + or – 1dB. The JR149 offers a variable treble response by way of a potentiometer.
