When we tested these we were surprised by the excellent sound quality. This model usually sounds sort of OK - but these are spectacularly good. Great bass extension, sweet mid-band and crystal clear treble. With the backs removed it was clear why they sounded so nice. The previous owner was a retired BBC sound engineer and these have been re-wired, crossovers re-built and bass drivers swapped for high power Monacor SPH-315 12 inch bass drivers. These are high spec drivers, which retail at just over £100 each

A typically retro vintage style enclosure, re-wired and re-built. A wolf in sheep’s clothing.
