We connected these up and all we can really say is wow..! They sound fantastic. No wonder Stax call them ear speakers rather than just headphones. I got my friend to have a listen. After around 30 seconds his smile was so wide he could have eaten a Mars Bar sideways.

In nice physical condition, all original and un-molested and in full working order, the level and clarity of detail from these electrostatic headphones is quite astonishing.
