Purchased in July 1973 and delivered to the British Embassy in Moscow in October 1973, along with some other Revox equipment (see pictures 18 & 19). I have no idea why this tuner was never unpacked, instead remaining sealed in its carton for 50 years.
We un-packed it for the first time today. The first two pictures show the carton sealed before unpacking. Pictures 17 to 21 show it being re-packed after the pictures. It powered-up just fine. Picture 8 shows one tiny little blemish on the front fascia, which happened when I was un-packing. The camera flash makes it look a lot worse than it is, but it’s only fair I should point it out.
