Complete with Michell uni-pivot tonearm and A&R C77 M/M cartridge, this vintage Focus One is in very nice condition (see close-up pictures) and full & perfect working order. The main bearing is fine, the motor is smooth and silent, the suspension is just right, 33 & 45 speeds are accurate and stable, lid hinges are fine, arm geometry is perfect, arm lowering is smooth and slow and the stylus tip looks spot-on when viewed under a stylus tip magnifying glass.

A nice example of an iconic British turntable - ready for use when connected to your amplifier’s MM Phono inputs.

The last two pictures are from 1978 Hi-Fi Choice, where both deck and tonearm were awarded ‘Recommended’ status. The A&R cartridge later appeared in the 1986 Hi-Fi Choice, where it received the magazine’s ‘Best Buy’ award.
