Linn LP12 Sondek

Very early version.

With a very low serial number (2249), this vintage, original version Linn Sondek is in full working order. The main bearing is fine and freshly lubricated, the motor is smooth and silent, the suspension is just right and 33 RPM is spot-on, accurate and stable. The armboard is cut for any 9 inch tonearm with a standard SME type fitting and has an SME acrylic spacer - which can be removed if not required. We have just fitted a new on/off switch and a new belt.

Physical condition is pretty good. One or two little blemishes in line with its age - but nothing nasty (see close-up pictures).

There was an acrylic cover when we got this but it was smashed when my colleague trod on it. (sad face).

All in all, a nice classic Linn Sondek for not much money.
