This pro broadcast turntable is absolutely brand new, unused and came to us in a sealed carton.
Made in London in the late 80’s / early 90’s as a rival to the legendary Technics 1210, this deck reaches stable speed in around one third of a revolution 33 RPM, or one half a revolution on 45 RPM. One unique and useful facility is the option to use this remotely in a broadcast or recording studio, by removing the control panel and replacing it with the blanking plate provided (see pictures 15, 16 & 17).

“London Acoustical Developments (LAD) manufactured turntables in the 1980's, mostly for the DJ and professional market, some featuring direct drive and quartz locked, variable speed controllers. After hitting financial difficulties the firm was ordered to wind up in 1992.”
