This 4HF is in reasonable physical condition. It has been gleaned and lubricated and is now in good working order. All speeds are accurate and stable, the pitch control works as it should and the play mechanics all seem fine.

The cartridge is an old flip-over type ceramic mono and should be written off as a viable cartridge.

This differs from other 4Hf’s we’ve see as it has an extra counterbalance weight fitted. This can be removed if required and was probably intended to use with lightweight cartridges (see pictures 6 and 7).
