Dynavector DV505

Bi-Axis Inertia Controlled Tonearm

In full working order, this rare tonearm comes with high-spec signal cable. There is no head-shell but any headshell with a standard SME type fitting will work. The bearings and geometry are all fine and full left & right signal continuity from headshell socket to RCA plugs

It comes with everything you see in the pictures.

The following description, specifications and the user reviews shown in the last picture are from the excellent vinylengine.com website:

Description:
“The DV505 uses a radically different approach to tonearm design, using a unique bi-axis system. The vertical sub-arm is extremely light to allow tracking of warps with ease, while the horizontal main arm is heavy enough to damp vibration. Damping is achieved by both electro-magnetic and inertia controlled systems, controlling arm resonance and allowing a flat frequency response. The arm features a removable headshell for quick cartridge changes and 4 sub weights to allow the use of cartridges in the range 0-23g.”

Specifications:

• Overall length: 335mm (including headshell)
• Effective length: 241mm
• Overhang: 15mm
• Offset angle: 21.5 degrees
• Height: 72-94mm
• Weight: 1250g

Review:
Extremely clean, smooth and open, it was nevertheless impressively musical and dynamic with rock solid tracking”
