One of the original ‘made in England’ Audiolab separates (before production was moved to China), this lovely tuner is in excellent physical condition (see close-up pictures) and in full & glorious working order - tested for more than 4 hours with its matching amplifier with no issues at all. Picture 4 was taken while just using a length of speaker wire as an improvised aerial.

Launched in the late 80's, The Audiolab 8000T was one of best solid state tuners ever built. When it first went on sale with a hefty price tag of £899 it was by no means cheap but what it did offer was a whole host of features and a sound quality that was quite unique. If your listening preferences were either classical or jazz on the airwaves then the Audiolab 8000T partnered with a good quality directional FM aerial was your ideal tuner. Many listeners found it superior to anything at any price range and combined with a whole host of features such as automatic tuning, advanced manual tuning and 39 presets, the Audiolab 8000T really had it all. These days FM tuners have become second fiddle to digital and satellite radio in most homes, which is a shame when you consider what analogue tuners like the Audiolab 8000T offer. Few tuners have ever bettered the quality of the Audiolab 8000T
